Russian Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov commented on Armenia's move toward EU integration, Orda reports, citing Interfax.
It appears that certain political forces in Armenia believe that orienting towards the European Union, without a clear understanding of whether the EU itself is interested, will provide additional benefits for the country and its people's interests. This is Armenia's sovereign right, Peskov stated.
He added that "both Armenians themselves and everyone else will need to figure out how mutual this desire is" and what the EU's position is on the matter.
