Armenian Opposition MP Urges EU to Visit Prisoners in Baku

Head of the opposition faction “I Have Honor,” Hayk Mamidjanyan, said he sent an official letter to EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas and EU Ambassador to Armenia Vassilis Maragos, Orda.kz reports, citing News Armenia.
In it, Mamidjanyan requested that the EU ambassador in Azerbaijan visit Armenian prisoners in Baku.
Given the closure of the International Committee of the Red Cross office in Azerbaijan, today I sent an official letter…requesting that the EU ambassador in Azerbaijan visit our prisoners held in Baku, Mamidjanyan wrote on Facebook.
He highlighted threats against the detainees, staged trials, and stressed the humanitarian importance of such visits.
