Armenian Foreign Ministry Open to Outsourcing Transport Corridor Oversight

The idea of outsourcing certain aspects of unblocking regional transport communications remains under discussion, the Armenian Foreign Ministry confirmed, Orda.kz reports, citing NewsArmenia.
Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia, Mnatsakan Safaryan, said the option of delegating oversight to a licensed international organization in the context of reopening transport links is being considered.
However, he clarified that the term “control” is not accurate in this context.
This process must take place under the jurisdiction of the Republic of Armenia, with full respect for its sovereignty and territorial integrity. If everything aligns with these principles — yes, it is possible. It’s a matter for discussion. We have stated this publicly many times,the deputy minister said.
Earlier, reports surfaced that the Trump administration floated a proposal to open up corridors.
