Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan said that "peace will not be fully established, even if we sign a peace treaty" with Azerbaijan, Orda.kz reports, citing NewsArmenia.
Mirzoyan also emphasized that lasting reconciliation requires more than just paperwork.
According to him, signing represents only the beginning of a long, delicate process demanding care in every word and document. He added that peace is not forged between friendly nations, but between those with a history of bloodshed and conflict.
Mirzoyan noted that although both sides currently refrain from shooting at each other — signaling a low risk of escalation — many challenges remain.
Notably, the issue of Armenian prisoners of war held in Azerbaijan still lacks a final resolution.
