Armenia Rejects Azerbaijan's Claims of Border Fire

The Armenian Defense Ministry has dismissed Azerbaijan's allegations about a border incident on January 5, Orda reports, citing News Armenia.

Azerbaijan had claimed that Armenian forces fired on their positions in the southeastern border zone between 22:00 and 22:10.

The ministry also pointed out that Armenia's Prime Minister had previously proposed establishing a joint Armenian-Azerbaijani mechanism to investigate ceasefire violations and related claims.

The department claims that Baku has yet to respond to this proposal.
