Starting today, Armenia is ready to provide transit for trucks traveling between Türkiye and Azerbaijan via the Margara–Yeghegnadzor–Sisian–Goris route, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced during a parliamentary discussion of the 2026 draft state budget, Orda.kz reports, citing NewsArmenia.AM.
This is the only option we can implement right now. Our roads up to Goris and Kornidzor are in good condition, and we can ensure transit. Currently, the first shipment of wheat from Kazakhstan to Armenia, transiting through Azerbaijan, is underway. It will be transported by rail through Azerbaijan and Georgia,
Pashinyan said.
He reminded lawmakers that the process of unblocking regional transport communications is being carried out within the framework of the TRIPP corridor project.
The TRIPP (Trans-Regional Infrastructure and Peace Project) is a U.S.-brokered transport corridor linking Azerbaijan and Nakhchivan through Armenian territory, designed to promote regional trade and stability.
