Aqtobe Region: Police Officer Escaped House Arrest

In the Aqtobe region, a police officer broke free from house arrest and committed a crime, Orda.kz reports.
The officer had been arrested earlier on bribery charges, accused of taking money from a drunk driver. According to online reports, he was placed under house arrest but managed to remove his electronic monitoring bracelet.
After escaping, he visited his former partner, who later accused him of sexual assault and filed a complaint.
The Aqtobe Regional Police Department confirmed the incident to Orda.kz, stating only that the suspect has been detained, without providing further details.
