Aqtobe Helicopter Crash: Pilots Discharged from Hospital

Two pilots injured in a crash landing of a Mi-8 helicopter in Aqtobe region have been discharged from the hospital, an Orda.kz correspondent reports.
Their condition has improved, and they will now be under outpatient observation.
The victims received treatment at the regional hospital in the traumatology and neurosurgery departments.
There were combined injuries: closed craniocerebral trauma, concussion, lung contusion, chest contusion, abdominal wall contusion, multiple abrasions. There were minor burns on the hands, no fractures. The condition at discharge was satisfactory, they will be observed by a neurologist, their attending physician noted.
The incident was on November 9 near Saryjar in the Aqtobe region. During a training flight, the Mi-8 helicopter of the Military Institute of the Air Defense Forces made a crash landing.
Three crew members were on board. The squadron instructor officer, Major Batyr Urazymbetov, who was born in 1988, died.
Squadron commander Major Bibarys Ibrayev and Senior Lieutenant Rustem Nigmetov were injured.
Both were taken to the regional hospital, where their condition was initially assessed as stable but severe.
