Appeals Court Upholds 12-Year Prison for Gulmira Satybaldy

The appeals hearing in the Satybaldy case, conducted online on January 5, has confirmed the original court's verdict. The Court of Appeal upheld the 12-year sentence handed down to Kairat Satybaldyuly's former wife.
Gulmira Satybaldy was found guilty on three criminal charges:
- Unlawful confinement
- Extortion
- Arbitrariness
The original sentence of 12 years in a penal colony will stand following this ruling.
