Antikor Reported on Recovered Assets
The Anti-Corruption Service reported how many illegally acquired assets abroad were seized from Kazakhstani corrupt officials and oligarchs, Orda.kz reports.
The sum amounted to 670 million dollars. This money came from Austria, Liechtenstein, the United Arab Emirates, and Türkiye.

In addition, assets have also been identified in Russia and France, which have now been transferred to the 'Company for the Management of Returned Assets.' In general, the search for assets is carried out by analyzing the financial flows of defendants in criminal cases, their net worth. Not only suspects are subject to verification, but also their entrusted relatives and other persons,
said Antikor's official representative.
All assets returned to the state are used for social purposes. Since the fund's creation, the construction of 83 schools for 92 thousand students has been financed.
Since the beginning of 2024, 18 schools have been built. The main share falls on Astana, the Mangystau, Almaty, and Jambyl regions.
