Meder Kapenov, Azamat Kapenov's younger brother, is wanted by the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs, Orda.kz reports.
Azamat Kapenov is the former in-law of the former National Security Committee Head, Karim Massimov.
The agency does not specify under what article and in what case he is wanted.

Earlier this year, Russia put Azamat Kapenov on the wanted list, and in August, he was included in the international wanted list at the initiative of Kazakhstan's Anti-Corruption Agency.
Not much is known about Meder Kapenov. He was born in Kyrgyzstan but has lived and studied in Moscow since the late 2000s.
In Kazakhstan, his name is associated with several logistics companies, including TransContainer Eurasia LLP and Eurotrans Aktiv LLP. He also owns the Rubius company in Russia, which is engaged in real estate management.
In May 2022, Meder Kapenov received Kyrgyz citizenship.
Karim Massimov was removed from office by presidential decree on January 8, 2022. After his resignation, he was arrested and in April 2024 sentenced to 18 years in prison on charges of treason and attempted coup d'etat.
