The American president has ordered a suspension of military aid to Ukraine, Orda reports.
This information has been reported by Bloomberg, AFP, Reuters, Fox News, and other media outlets, citing a White House representative, as reported by BBC Russian Service.
According to Bloomberg, the decision will affect all American military equipment not yet delivered to Ukraine, including weapons in transit or awaiting transit through Poland.
The President has been clear that he is focused on peace. We need our partners to be committed to that goal as well. We are pausing and reviewing our assistance to ensure that it is contributing to a solution the White House official said.
Quoting an administration representative, Fox News clarifies that this is not a final termination of aid but merely a pause. It will continue until Trump is convinced that Ukraine's leadership demonstrates a commitment to peace.
Discussions about stopping funding for Ukraine in the US began after a dispute at the White House. On February 28, Donald Trump met with Zelenskyy. The conversation between the two ended on a heated note.
Zelenskyy left the White House early, and an agreement on rare earth minerals remained unsigned.
