The consequences of the snowfall are still being cleared in Almaty. Due to the continuous snowfall, utility services are cleaning the streets and roads for the fourth time. This information comes from the Department of Municipal Infrastructure and Housing Inspectorate of the city, Orda.kz reports.
In order to prevent and eliminate ice and snow, 1,250 units of special equipment and 4,050 road workers were deployed on the city’s streets on February 25. Of these, 905 pieces of equipment and 2,015 workers were provided by the State Enterprise "Almaty Tazalyk", and a further 345 pieces of equipment and 695 workers were provided by private contractors.

Due to the ongoing snowfall, the city authorities have decided to increase their efforts. Another 1,340 people, including 500 "Almaty Tazalyk" employees and 840 contractors, will take to the streets on the night of February 25–26. Consequently, 1,250 units of specialized equipment and 4,050 road workers will be deployed daily.
Work is being carried out in all districts of the city. The main emphasis is on main streets, public transportation routes, ascents, descents, stop complexes, and sidewalks. Cleaning is carried out cyclically: first, de-icing materials are applied, then the equipment rakes up the snow, and finally the snow is removed, reported the Department of Municipal Infrastructure and Housing Inspectorate of the city.

Despite the high intensity of precipitation, work continues day and night. Services respond promptly to changes in weather conditions, redistributing resources to the busiest areas.
