Azhar Tursynova, a researcher at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, has created a system that uses artificial intelligence to help detect strokes in their early stages, Orda.kz reports.
She explains that current stroke diagnostics often rely on time-consuming manual analysis and costly equipment. In cases where symptoms are subtle, this can lead to delays or errors.
Today, stroke is a global health issue. While various methods exist for diagnosis, many are still complex and time-consuming... Our AI-based approach enables quick and accurate diagnostics, clear analysis, and interpretation of medical images, which significantly saves time in determining a stroke,Tursynova says.
Her method has already been patented, and the research has been published in academic journals. She hopes the system will soon be used in Kazakhstan's clinics to improve early stroke detection and patient care.
