Almaty Police Investigate Alleged Leak of HIV Patient Data by Medical College Students

A list of HIV patients was allegedly leaked online by students from a medical college, Orda.kz reports, citing Qumash.
On April 3, it was reported that students from one of Almaty's medical colleges had shared documents containing HIV test results. The specific institution involved was not identified.
The Almaty police department issued the following statement:
The Almaty police department is conducting an investigation into this incident. The veracity and objective details will be established and, as a result, measures will be taken per the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
