Almaty Airport: Man Disarmed After Threatening Security Worker with Knife

A man threatened an aviation security officer at the Almaty airport with a knife, Orda.kz reports.
The airport's press service confirmed that on March 7 at about 11:45 a.m. a woman was attacked in the pre-flight inspection area of the domestic terminal (T1). When the staff demanded the man's documents, instead of answering, he became aggressive and pulled out a knife.
Orda.kz contacted the airport press service for comment:
Seven minutes later, the man was disarmed by the airport's linear police department (LPD) and the MAA SAB. The man is currently in the transport police department, and law enforcement officers are handling the incident, the airport's corporate communications department reported.
