Alleged Suspect in Drone Attack on Russian Airfields Placed on Russian Federal Wanted List

Artem Timofeyev, originally from Zhytomyr, Ukraine, has been placed on Russia’s federal wanted list in connection with a drone operation targeting Russian military aircraft, Orda.kz reports.
According to Kommersant, Timofeyev is suspectedof involvement in Operation Spiderweb — an attack on Russian strategic bombers using drones launched from trucks. The trucks, reportedly owned by Timofeyev, were used to deploy drones from multiple airfields across five Russian regions on June 1.
The specific charges he faces under Russian law have not been disclosed.
Russian media previously reported that Timofeyev and his wife left Chelyabinsk for Astana several days before the operation. It remains unclear whether he stayed in Kazakhstan or used it as a transit point.
The Kremlin gave no clear answer when asked whether Russia intends to cooperate with Kazakhstan in locating Timofeyev.
