At the Caspian Business Forum, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev called the Middle Corridor a strategic route linking Asia and Europe through the Caspian Sea, Orda.kz reports, citing Minval.
Via letter, he said Azerbaijan’s location allows it to play a central role, backed by stability and major infrastructure investments.
Aliyev also highlighted Azerbaijan's efforts to facilitate the TRIPP route, which was launched under a joint declaration with Armenia in Washington, in the presence of U.S. President Donald Trump.
He said it will become a key segment of the corridor, boosting trade, energy exports, and digital links.
According to Aliyev, freight volumes along Azerbaijan’s section of the corridor have grown nearly 90% in three years, with transit times falling sharply. By 2030, capacity is expected to triple compared to 2021.
