According to the Prosecutor General's Office, Alel-Agro JSC planned to build a poultry farm in the Baizak District of Jambyl Region, Orda.kz reports.

In 2021, the project was added to the regional business support map. Two years later, the company was promised 87 hectares of land for 24 years in Baiterek Rural District, with plans to create around 100 jobs.

Local residents objected, citing concerns about air pollution and hazardous waste near their homes. Alel-Agro JSC then requested a different site from the district Akimat. In November, the land commission approved the request but did not allocate a specific plot.

The Prosecutor’s Office intervened.

In March 2025, Alel-Agro was granted 87 hectares in another area of the Baizak District. The project has already begun on the new site. The official responsible for the delay was disciplined.

JSC Alel-Agro is one of Kazakhstan’s most prominent agricultural firms. Forbes ranked it 61st among the country's largest private enterprises in 2024, with revenue of 45.7 billion tenge and net profit of 4.6 billion tenge.
