Prosecutor General Berik Asylov held a board meeting to discuss the effectiveness of local executive bodies' work with citizens' appeals, Orda.kz reports, citing his account on X.
According to prosecutors, Akimats received 1.1 million appeals in the first 10 months of this year.
Numerous violations were identified during the inspections.
As a result, 1,652 officials, including 601 managers, were brought to various types of liability.
Overall, over the past five years, the number of appeals to all government agencies has almost doubled — from 1.8 million in 2018 to 3.2 million in 2024.
According to the Prosecutor General, the analysis of socially sensitive issues needs to be revised.
Akimats and government agencies are recommended to implement artificial intelligence to improve the efficiency and quality of decisions.
