On May 30, Air Astana JSC announced that it would pay dividends to its shareholders for the first time in the airline’s history. The total amount allocated for dividend payments will be 19.1 billion tenge, Orda.kz reports
According to a document published on the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE) website, Air Astana posted a net profit of 25.52 billion tenge in 2024. Out of this, the airline will distribute 6.3 billion tenge as regular dividends and 12.8 billion tenge as special dividends. Each common share will yield a dividend of 53.7 tenge.
The remaining 6.42 billion tenge in profits will be retained by the company for internal use.
Air Astana went public in February 2024. Shortly after the IPO, there was an issue preventing shareholders from trading the company’s shares in foreign currency, but it was quickly resolved.
In March 2025, the airline group also announced a major deal involving aircraft engines.
