A Year Without Answers: Investigation into Yerbayan Mukhtar’s Case Continues

Kazakhstan's Deputy Chief Military Prosecutor, Maksat Kaziyev, has explained why the investigation into the case of serviceman Yerbayan Mukhtar is still ongoing, Orda.kz reports.
Mukhtar spent nearly six months in a coma due to a head injury.
According to Kaziyev, investigators are still gathering evidence and awaiting examination results.
Once all investigative actions are completed and expert conclusions are received, a procedural decision will be made. At this stage, we cannot comment on the progress of the investigation, as it concerns many people, he said during a briefing at the Central Communications Service.
There are still no specific suspects:

Meanwhile, officials also addressed the state's support for Mukhtar.
Kazakhstanis held a fundraiser for Yerbayan to help his family afford proper treatment.
The entire country contributed. He has already undergone the first stage of treatment in Türkiye, with the second stage still ahead. The National Guard covered all necessary payments according to the law, and both military personnel and officers provided financial assistance. We remain in close contact with his family and continue to support them,assured Nurbay Bektursynov, Deputy Commander of the National Guard.
The Ministry of Defense also arranged his treatment, providing a military aircraft to transport Mukhtar to Türkiye.
