33-year-old Son of Former Emergency Situations Minister Heads KMG Subsidiary

Before this, Igor Ilyin headed a Samruk-Kazyna holding subsidiary, Orda.kz reports.
The KazMunayGas press service announced Ilyin's new appointment.
He headed KMG PetroChem LLP, the national company's main activity is the production of polyethylene. The company owns 100% of its shares.
Igor Ilyin, 33, is the son of former Emergency Situations Minister Yuri Ilyin.
He was removed from office in 2023 amid the fire in the Semey Ormany reserve. Since November last year, Ilyin Jr. has been heading Karabatan Utility Solutions, a subsidiary of the Samruk-Kazyna holding.
Igor Ilyin also held management positions directly at Samruk-Kazyna.
From 2021 to 2023, he was Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Central Asian Electric Power Corporation (CAEPCO), owned by Alexander Klebanov and Sergey Kan.
