A 16-year-old girl is reported to have been sexually assaulted, Orda.kz reports.
The incident was filmed. The victim's parents learned about the incident from relatives who had obtained the video recording of the assault. An Orda.kz correspondent spoke with the victim's father.
The father asked not to be named. The man said that everything happened in January 2025. He was away with his wife. At that time, their daughter was invited by a friend to a party.
The girls went to a nightclub. The victim no longer remembers what happened next. She woke up in someone else's apartment. Five young men and her friend were there as well. The parents suspect something was slipped into a drink of their daughter.
My daughter was in shock and didn't tell us anything. But we saw that she started acting oddly from that day on: she didn't smile, she was silent, she was anxious. Only on February 25 did we learn about what happened from relatives who got a video of my daughter! There were five guys doing whatever they wanted to her. She was unconscious and couldn't even resist. It turned out that they not only sexually assaulted her, but also filmed it. And then they distributed it among peers, the man said.
When her parents began to ask questions, their daughter admitted that she had a poor memory of what had happened. When she came to, everything was foggy, and she felt unwell.
She tried to leave, but her friend refused to let her go. The girl was kept in the apartment for several hours, forced to take pills, mocked, and humiliated.
They threatened her that if she spoke about what happened, the video would be sent to her parents. That's why (our - Ed.) daughter kept silent. One of the assailants told her that he had relatives in the prosecutor's office and the KNB. And even if he was detained, it would only be for a couple of months, so there was no point in complaining. We want the police to check this version, says the victim's father.
More than three months have passed, and the case is ongoing. The father is upset that only three young men have been arrested. The friend, meanwhile, is a witness in the case.
The victim's father believes she should be charged as an accomplice.
An Orda.kz correspondent contacted the police for comment:
The police identified and detained three suspects, for whom a preventive measure in the form of arrest was chosen. Investigative actions are ongoing with respect to the other participants. A comprehensive and thorough investigation is underway. A set of necessary examinations has been ordered, based on the results of which the criminal case will be sent to court. The progress of the investigation is under the special control of the leadership of the Qaraganda Region Police Department. Other information in the interests of the investigation is not disclosed.
According to the father, his daughter needed psychological assistance and still hasn't recovered from what happened. The man demands that all those responsible be punished.
