Uzbekistan Signs Renewable Energy Deals with Two Chinese Companies

Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Investments, Industry and Trade has signed investment agreements for new power plants during the first international climate forum in Samarqand, Orda reports, citing Gazeta.uz. 

SANY Renewables International will build a 1,000 MW wind power plant in Karakalpakstan. China Electrical Equipment International Company will construct a 500 MW solar plant in the Jizzakh region’s Farish district.

SANY ranks among the world’s top 10 wind turbine producers, while CEEG specializes in solar energy systems and hydrogen power technologies.
