The provisions of the law also concern the rules for enrolling foreigners' children residing in the Russian Federation in school, Orda reports.
Before enrolling a child in school, a mandatory check will be carried out to verify the legality of his or her presence on the territory of the Russian Federation, as well as knowledge of the Russian language, explained State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin on Telegram.
Volodin added that this is already the 14th federal law on tightening migration policy, adopted since the beginning of the year.
Russia began its legislative clampdown on migrants after the Crocus City Hall concert hall attack in March 2024.
