A police major brought his girlfriend to work a day before the tragedy — the young woman was later found dead, while the officer himself recently emerged from a coma, Orda.kz reports.

New details have surfaced in the case involving the death of a 23-year-old woman at a police outpost in Qaraganda. It has now been revealed that the district inspector brought his acquaintance to the police facility not on September 30, as previously believed, but the evening before — on September 29.

The outlet Patriot reported this information.

According to surveillance footage, the two entered the building calmly at around 11:00 p.m. The woman was not detained — she came voluntarily. Sources say the man and the deceased were in a relationship, and he had previously brought her to the station during his night shifts.

The next day, on September 30, the senior district officer discovered the naked body of the woman on a couch, and the major himself was unconscious in a nearby room. The man was hospitalized and has since been moved from intensive care to a general ward.

The patient’s condition is of moderate severity but stable. He is receiving all necessary treatment, commented Ksenia Derevyashkina, head of the situational center of the trauma service.

Earlier, the 36-year-old police officer had served as an investigator in the Temirtau Police Department, but was demoted to district inspector for disciplinary violations.
