Macron Posts in Kazakh After Call With Toqayev

At the initiative of the French side, President Emmanuel Macron held a phone conversation with President Qasym-Jomart Toqayev, Orda.kz reports.
Following the call, Macron shared details on his X page. The post is in Kazakh.
We discussed strengthening our strategic partnership, especially in the areas of transport and energy, following my visit to Kazakhstan in November 2023 and President Toqayev's state visit to France last November, the French president wrote.
The two leaders also discussed current international issues, with particular attention to Russia’s ongoing war against Ukraine and the negotiation process in the South Caucasus.
Both sides emphasized the positive development of bilateral ties and agreed to expand trade and economic cooperation.
