Lukashenko's press secretary denies that he apologized to Zelenskyy for strikes on Ukraine from Belarus, Orda reports, citing RBK Novosti.
The press secretary Natalia Eismont asserts that the conversation between Alexander Lukashenko and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy at the beginning of the full-scale invasion “was solely due to the emotional reaction of the Belarusian president’s youngest son Nikolai, who had Zelenskyy’s contact on his phone.”
The President of Belarus did not offer any apologies to Zelenskyy, for the simple reason that we have nothing to apologize for, the press secretary said.
Zelenskyy had previously said that in the first days of the invasion, Lukashenko called him and apologized for the attacks on Ukraine from Belarus.
