The system was launched at the end of last week, Orda.kz reports, citing the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The department writes that on the night of November 26-27, Kazakhstan and China conducted a test exchange of foreign permit forms (FPF) in electronic format. These documents allow to exit the country with cargo.
After successful testing, the electronic system has been officially implemented, the Ministry of Transport said in a statement.
The agency says Kazakhstan and China exchanged 30,000 forms in electronic format.
This is three-quarters of the additional "permits" that Kazakhstan and China transport agencies had previously agreed to exchange. Another 10,000 forms were presented as hard copies.
The agreement on the electronic form of exchange of IDB was signed between the countries in May 2024 during Qasym-Jomart Toqayev's visit to Xi'an.
According to the Ministry, Kazakhstan exchanges such permits with 42 countries worldwide.
In 2024, over 364.7 thousand IDB exchanges were made. More than half are with China.
