Kazakhstan does not want its territory to be used to circumvent the sanctions imposed by the US and EU against Russia. Vasilenko added that this position is well known to Russia and Western countries, and all parties treat it with understanding.
Kazakhstan has not imposed sanctions against Russia, and Kazakhstan has not joined the sanctions against Russia. At the same time, we do not want our territory to be used to circumvent sanctions,
explains the diplomat.
Earlier, Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Serik Zhumangarin noted that Kazakhstan does not support US and EU sanctions against Russia but is forced to consider them in its work. He stated that a specialized group operates in Kazakhstan and maintains contact with US and European Union representatives on sanctions-related issues.
