KazAeroNavigation has signed a cooperation agreement with Air Astana and SCAT to strengthen pilot–air traffic controller coordination and improve flight safety, Orda.kz reports.

By the end of 2025, over 500 Air Astana pilots, 50 SCAT pilots, and 200 air traffic controllers will take part in a new exchange program. Pilots will visit control centers, while controllers will join cockpit flights as observers.
Controllers will also attend simulator training to gain a better understanding of pilots’ actions during emergencies.
“This is not just an agreement — it’s an investment in a safety culture,”
said Nurzhan Akhmetov, General Director of KazAeroNavigation.

In 2024, KazAeroNavigation handled 446,106 flights, including 111,850 by Kazakhstan's airlines.
