The investigation materials have been transferred to the judicial jury under the Supreme Judicial Council of Kazakhstan, Orda.kz reports.
During hearings in the case of the armed attack on Ruslan Berdenov, Judge Karabayev unexpectedly stuck his tongue out at journalists. The video of the moment was published by Botagoz Omarova.
At the time, the court said that if a violation of the Code of Judicial Ethics were confirmed, the materials would be sent to the commission and then to the jury.
The investigation materials have been sent to the jury. The decision has not yet entered into force. Karabayev has the right to appeal it,
the Shymkent court’s press service told an Orda.kz correspondent today.
Abinur Karabayev has also handled other high-profile trials, including the case of former Minister of Culture Arystanbek Mukhamediuly and the seizure of the Kaspi office in Astana.
