Jetisu Region: Qasym-Jomart Toqayev Arrived on Visit

President Toqayev arrived in Jetisu today to visit key industrial and social facilities in the region, Orda reports, citing Aqorda.



The President's recent visit to the Aqtobe region started with a meeting with ERG head Shukhrat Ibragimov.
They discussed the launch of the Bolashak mine.
Meanwhile, in the Jetisu region, President Toqayev visited the Asma Industrial plant, which produces industrial batteries.



The plant is located in the Taldykorgan industrial zone.
The founder and director, Serikbay Azhmagambetov, told the President that the project, worth 8.5 billion tenge, was repaired and modernized last year. The updated enterprise was launched on December 6.
According to the director, the enterprise can produce 210 thousand batteries per year and create up to 180 jobs when it reaches full capacity.
About 60% of the products will be exported to the CIS and Baltic countries, and 40% will be supplied to the domestic market. In the first year after launch, the plant should pay more than 500 million tenge in taxes to the budget.
They reported that they plan to buy most of the raw materials from Kazakh enterprises: lead from Kazzinc and sulfuric acid from Kazatomprom.
At the end of November, Kazatomprom's profit increased by 129%.
