ICAO Accident Investigation Section Chief Arrives in Kazakhstan
17 international experts are now in Aqtau, Orda.kz reports, citing Kazakhstan's Ministry of Transport.
Head of the Air Accident Investigation Section Thormodur Thormodsson arrived in Aqtau on December 29 on behalf of the Secretary General of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).
Since December 25, the Government Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan, chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Kanat Bozumbayev, has been operating in Mangystau.
On December 28, investigators from the Brazilian Center for Investigation and Prevention of Aviation Accidents (CENIPA) and representatives of the Interstate Aviation Committee arrived in Aqtau.
We have also reported that a special commission, including Kazakhstani, Azerbaijani, and Russian specialists, operates at the crash site.
