Toqayev Meets with Italian President
The two leaders discussed their political, economic, and cultural-humanitarian cooperation, reports Orda.kz, citing Aqorda.
Very close cooperation has been established between the two countries in various fields. Many Italian companies operate in our market. There is rapid growth. Cultural and humanitarian ties are also developing dynamically. Therefore, I believe that very strong relations have been built between our countries, the President noted.
Italy currently ranks as Kazakhstan's third-largest trading partner and is among the top five investors in Kazakhstan's economy. The mutual trade turnover between the two nations reached approximately $20 billion in 2024.
President Sergio Mattarella expressed gratitude for the warm reception and highlighted opportunities for further enhancing bilateral relations:
We really have excellent relations in all spheres – political, economic, trade and cultural.
President Toqayev personally welcomed Mattarella at the capital's airport. Their previous meeting took place in Rome in January 2024.
