Skier Buried by Avalanche Beneath Shymbulak Cable Car Line

The incident occurred on Sunday, February 22, in the off-piste Sukhoi Log area beneath the cable car line, Orda.kz reports.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations said an avalanche buried a skier born in 1998. Rescuers from Almaty’s Emergency Situations Department, along with Shymbulak ski resort staff, were dispatched to the scene immediately.
The skier was located quickly and pulled out from under the snow.
He was given first aid and taken to Shymbulak’s medical center for examination.
