Kazakhstan’s Central Military Orchestra and the Honor Guard of the Ministry of Defense will take part in the “Spasskaya Tower” festival in Moscow, Orda.kz reports, citing Rossiyskaya Gazeta.
They will perform both on Red Square and in Moscow’s parks.
The orchestra includes a dance group, and in addition to standard marching instruments (trumpets, flutes, trombones, saxophones, drums, etc.), unique national instruments are also listed, with which the audience is promised to be charmed by the authentic melodies of the Great Steppe,
Rossiyskaya Gazeta writes.
Also announced as a performer is Jasmina Tuzelova, a soloist of the “Jas Sarbaz” children’s studio.
This year, Kazakh military personnel have already marched on Red Square — on May 9, they took part in the parade marking the 80th anniversary of victory in the Great Patriotic War.
Orda.kz has reached out to the Ministry of Defense for comment on the upcoming performance at the Russian festival. The “Spasskaya Tower” is a military music festival held annually in Moscow since 2006. Kazakhstan has participated multiple times, with the last performance recorded in 2019.
In early June, it was also announced that Kazakhstan would join the “Intervision” song contest, organized in Russia as an alternative to “Eurovision.”
