Nursultan Nazarbayev Met with Putin in Moscow

On May 29, reports surfaced that Nursultan Nazarbayev is in Moscow, Orda.kz reports.
“Today, the president met at the Kremlin with the first president of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, who is in Moscow,” said Russian presidential spokesperson Dmitry Peskov.
No further details of the meeting were disclosed.
Later, the Kremlin released a video of the encounter, showing Nazarbayev and Russian President Vladimir Putin shaking hands and embracing.
The last time the Russian leader met with Kazakhstan’s former president was in Novo-Ogaryovo in December 2024.
