"No Requests Made by Kazakhstanis for Evacuation from Ukraine" — MFA of Kazakhstan

The official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Aibek Smadiyarov, commented on the situation in Ukraine and spoke about Kazakhstanis in the country.
Our embassy in Ukraine is operating in as usual. There is a situation center that monitors the development of events. According to our information, the foreign diplomatic corps also continues its work in Kyiv and is not evacuating its citizens. There have been no requests from Kazakhstanis regarding evacuation, special flights are not planned at this stage, the agency representative said.
Aibek Smadiyarov noted that combat operations in Ukraine have been ongoing for several years. About 300 Kazakhstani citizens may be in the country. However, due to the current situation in Ukraine, it is difficult to name the exact number.
On November 20, the Kazakh embassy in Ukraine called on its citizens to leave the country due to the increased frequency of shelling and air attacks.
Aibek Smadiyarov assures that Kazakhstani diplomats will provide all necessary assistance if citizens contact the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
He pledged that Kazakhstan's authorities would act on the situation's development.
