National Security Committee Responded to MP Bapi's Inquiry
The National Security Committee responded to a request from Majilis deputy Yermurat Bapi, who previously claimed that "Old Kazakhstan" was spreading provocations through social networks, Orda.kz reports.
According to the National Security Committee, in 2024, they did indeed record cases of the dissemination of destructive information on the Internet, containing calls for organizing illegal demonstrations, including mass riots.
As a result of the work carried out, 330 Internet users who posted such materials were identified. 29 persons were brought to criminal liability, 30 to administrative liability. Preventive measures were organized for the rest, The National Security Committee noted.
The deputy also stated that attempts had been made through manipulation to divide the "New Kazakhstan," creating tension, causing vindictiveness, and returning to the old order.
According to him, the image of Dariga Nazarbayeva is being used for this.
The KNB also commented on this.
Internet provocations of a political nature in most cases come from distributors who act anonymously, using foreign platforms. This creates significant difficulties in identifying and establishing the identity of such users, added to the National Security Committee.
The National Security Committee noted that they reviewed Yermurat Bapi’s statements and requested he contact them if any additional information would arise.
