Kazakhstan to Open New International Flights Across Asia, the Middle East and Europe

Kazakhstan plans to open and resume several international air routes at once, Orda.kz reports.

According to the Ministry of Transport, the new flights will cover countries in Asia, the Middle East and Europe. The expansion of the route network will be provided by both domestic airlines and foreign carriers.

SCAT Airlines will launch new flights from Shymkent. Flights to Bishkek will begin on March 29, to Novosibirsk from May 19, to St. Petersburg from June 1, and to Tel Aviv from June 9.

Air Astana is expanding its international network in several directions at once. Flights from Almaty to Shanghai will start on March 29, and flights from Astana to Guangzhou will start on June 2. In the summer season, there will be flights to Larnaca (Cyprus) from Almaty and Astana. Flights from Almaty to Dalaman (Turkey) are also planned for the spring–summer season. From March 9, routes to Salalah (Jordan) from Almaty and Astana will open.

In addition, the possibility of launching an Almaty–Tokyo flight in 2026 is being worked out.

Low-cost airline FlyArystan will launch the Almaty–Samarkand flight from March 17. In June, it is planned to open the Almaty–Xian and Aktau–Urumqi routes, provided all necessary procedures are approved. The launch of the Almaty–Riyadh flight is also being considered.

Among foreign airlines, the opening of the Almaty–Warsaw flight is expected from May 31. In addition, the Almaty–Dammam and Almaty–Amman routes are being worked out.

It is expected that the new routes will contribute to the development of tourism, the strengthening of trade and economic ties, and the expansion of international cooperation.
