Court Clears Aqtau Prosecutor Yerbolat Abdirov of Misconduct Allegations

No elements of an offense were found in Yerbolat Abdirov’s actions, Orda.kz reports.
The situation involving the Aqtau prosecutor surfaced on Sept. 9, when Abdirov was detained at the Almaty airport. Protocols were reportedly drawn up against him for appearing drunk in a public place, using foul language, and harassing others.
Abdirov denied all accusations in a conversation with an Orda.kz journalist.
On Sept. 10, the Aqtau specialized court for administrative offenses held a hearing in the case. Materials confirmed that a conflict between Abdirov and the Sait brothers did take place.
Abdirov told the court that the incident occurred on a bus transporting passengers from the airport building to the plane. He argued that this was special transport and therefore not a public place. The court agreed.
The prosecutor also insisted that he was sober and did not use foul language. The Sait brothers, who said they are Abdirov’s relatives, supported his version.
There was no noise on the bus to the plane. Y. S. Abdirov did not use foul language or say anything offensive. He did not bother other passengers either,
the court decision states.
As a result, the court dismissed the case, ruling that Abdirov had not committed an administrative offense.
