Last night in Tbilisi, special forces pushed protesters away from the parliament building, Orda.kz reports, citing Paper Kartuli.
However, some protesters remained on the avenue, resuming barricading the streets with benches and trash cans.
Fireworks were launched towards law enforcement, and stones and bottles were thrown.
A committee of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) has issued an emergency statement expressing concern over the escalation in Georgia.
The Assembly condemned the violence against peaceful protesters. It said that the Georgian authorities' decision to freeze the EU accession process would negatively impact the development of democratic institutions in the country.
According to preliminary information, 60 people were detained. The police claim to have cleared Rustaveli Avenue.
Meanwhile, protesters purportedly made their way into a Georgian Dream office on Rustaveli Avenue.
