In Almaty, authorities are preparing to sell a share in Baisat Wholesale and Retail Trade Center LLP, one of the city’s largest markets, Orda.kz reports.
The asset previously belonged to Kairat Satybaldyulu, nephew of former President Nursultan Nazarbayev.
The Asset Recovery Company announced that the auction is scheduled for November 18, 2025, and will be held on the E-Qazyna electronic platform.
The starting price is 28.6 billion tenge, and anyone registered on the portal may take part.
According to officials, the sale is being conducted under the national asset recovery program, with all proceeds directed to the Special State Fund for social projects.
Earlier, Orda.kz reported that CMRA had auctioned jewelry worth about half a billion tenge, allegedly seized from Satybaldyulu. In 2024, the Prosecutor General’s Office stated that as part of a plea agreement, he had transferred luxury goods and assets worth 783 billion tenge to the state.
These included luxury vehicles, real estate, business centers, watches, and rare coins.
