Trump Declares May 8 Official U.S. Victory Day in World War II

U.S. President Donald Trump has announced that starting this year, May 8 will officially be recognized as Victory Day in World War II across the United States, Orda.kz reports.
The announcement was made on Trump’s Truth Social account.
Trump emphasized that while many U.S. allies already commemorate May 8, he believes it was the United States that played the most decisive role in defeating Nazi Germany.
November 11 is traditionally observed in the United States as Veterans Day.
