Today, the President of Kazakhstan arrived in Russia on a two-day state visit, Orda.kz reports.
During their meeting, Vladimir Putin noted that although the leaders are in regular contact, formal meetings also hold significance.
Today we'll have the opportunity to sit down in an informal setting and discuss all matters of particular interest. And tomorrow, together with my colleagues, we'll review the entire agenda of our bilateral relations and, of course, look to the future. I'm very glad to see you. Welcome!
said the head of the Russian Federation.
In response, Toqayev expressed gratitude for the warm welcome.
There's not a single area where we don't interact and work together. There are no serious problems between our countries. If they arise, which is natural, they are resolved primarily through the efforts of our heads of state and, of course, our governments,
he noted.
Following the official part of the talks and dinner, the leaders are set to continue their informal discussion in a more private setting — at Putin’s Kremlin apartment.
He invited Toqayev for tea.
Few people have received such an invitation before. I clearly remember the head of China being there,
wrote journalist Alexander Yunashev.
