Sputnik Kazakhstan's Activities to Be Checked by Kazakhstan's Ministry of Culture

The activities of Sputnik Kazakhstan, the local branch of the Russian state media group "Rossiya Sevognya" have been brought to the attention of the Minister of Culture and Information, Orda.kz reports.
Journalist and human rights defender Lukpan Akhmedyarov has claimed that the outlet promotes war propaganda related to Ukraine.
Minister of Culture and Information Aida Balayeva addressed the matter during a government briefing.
From a legal point of view, I will consider this issue comprehensively. Indeed, this should not happen. Therefore, we will send a warning to the Sputnik agency. Let me remind you that Sputnik is a foreign media outlet. We will discuss this matter with the relevant legal experts. After that, the Ministry will take the necessary measures from a legal point of view,
the Minister stated.
