Police officers have been equipped with “smart body cameras," Orda.kz reports, citing Polisia.kz.
The devices record everything that happens, eliminating the possibility of violations and cannot be turned off manually. Operational control centers work around the clock.
The surveillance system now uses artificial intelligence. It analyzes data and helps to quickly identify any violations.
The job of the police is to ensure that every lawbreaker receives the punishment they deserve, regardless of their status or position. There are no exceptions, the department emphasized.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Anti-Corruption Service signed a memorandum, which will tighten measures to combat corruption within these agencies.
Citizens, in turn, have been warned that attempts at bribery will be considered a serious offense.
