Military Institute Cadet Dies During Parachute Training in Aqtobe

A cadet from the Military Institute of the Air Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Kazakhstan tragically died in Aqtobe on July 15 during a parachute training exercise, Orda.kz reports.
Preliminary reports indicate that the serviceman’s parachute failed to deploy. The injuries sustained in the fall were fatal.
According to the institute’s press service, a criminal case has been opened. An investigation is underway, and the circumstances surrounding the incident are being examined. A forensic analysis has been ordered.
The command of the Military Institute and the Air Defense Forces express their sincere and deep condolences to the cadet’s family and friends. They will be provided with all necessary support, the official statement reads.
